Day 3

And we’re back in British Columbia! After leaving Calgary, Alberta, we headed north through Red Deer before turning west to head back into British Columbia and the Rocky Mountains – don’t worry though, we haven’t left Alberta for good, we’ll be back soon enough. After an impressive 978.50 km walked today, we’ve made it to Prince George, British Columbia – it’s the largest city in northern British Columbia!

Be sure to record your walking times today, and share any photos or stories about your walks using #WalkTheWorldSO on social media!

Day 2

Today we set off from Field, British Columbia and quickly crossed the provincial border into Alberta, walking through Banff National Park. We passed Lake Louise on our way, and exited the Rocky Mountains. Today we walked 243.75 km together, and this puts us in Calgary, Alberta! We have a bunch of Special Olympics Alberta athletes participating in the walk, and we hope to see many more joining in as we continue our adventure! Did you know that Calgary is Alberta’s largest city, and in 1988 it was the first Canadian city to host the Winter Olympics?
