Today we did a 1,361.75 km loop, starting AND stopping our day’s walk in Thompson, Manitoba! Along the way, we traveled up to Churchill, Manitoba which is also known as the Polar Bear Capital of the World. The town gets this nickname from the frequency of polar bears who will often move from the inland to the shore of Hudson Bay during the autumn months and walk through the town. Our walk from Churchill back to Thompson took us along the shore of many lakes and rivers in northern Manitoba, and we’re now ready to start heading south towards Winnipeg and then Ontario!
