Today marked Day 30 – 1 month – since Walk the World With Me began, and we’ve just completed our Canadian leg of the trip! Starting from Cow Head, Newfoundland and Labrador, we continued south to Channel-Port Aux Basques where we virtually hopped on a ferry and traveled across to Sydney, Nova Scotia! We then walked south through Cape Breton Island and headed to Caribour, Nova Scotia – from here we boarded another virtual ferry over to Prince Edward Island! We walked across Prince Edward Island, through the capital city of Charlottetown and arrived at Confederation Bridge – the longest bridge in Canada and the world’s longest bridge over ice-covered water (although the water isn’t always covered in ice)!
After crossing the Confederation Bridge into New Brunswick, we walked through Moncton and the provincial capital Fredericton. We continued pressing west and reached Woodstock as our final town in New Brunswick. We finished off the day at the Canada-USA Border at Houlton, Maine. In total we walked 1,104.75 km together, which puts our 1-month walking total at 34,268.00 km!
