Today we started out from the Canada-USA Border and made our way south through Maine. We passed by Portland, Maine and our friends at Special Olympics Maine, then headed west – we traveled through New Hampshire and into Vermont where we met Special Olympics Vermont at their headquarters in Burlington. We then walked back through New Hampshire and reached Manchester (the home of Special Olympics New Hampshire!) before crossing into Massachusetts. We walked through Boston and Marlborough where we said hello to Special Olympics Massachusetts!
From there we continued west towards our last state of the day, New York. We passed through Albany and their Special Olympics office, and then continued on to Pittsford, New York. Pittsford is home to the Golisano Foundation, proud supporter of Special Olympics Health programs, so let’s give them a huge thank you on our way by! We then turned south through New York and have ended our day at Elmira, New York – a city in southern New York not far from the Pennsylvania border! We walked 1,881.00 km together today, so let’s keep up the great work tomorrow!
