Day 33

We continued our trip south today, walking out of Virginia and through North Carolina, South Carolina and into Georgia! Along the way, we passed by the Special Olympics offices in Morrisville, North Carolina and Irmo, South Carolina, as well as the headquarters of Bank of America, one of Special Olympics generous sponsors! After walking 1,006.00 km together, we ended the day in Savannah, Georgia. Savannah is the oldest city in Georgia – fun fact: world-famous author Flannery O’Connor grew up in Savannah and when she was 6 years old, she taught a chicken to walk backwards!

Be sure to record your walking times today, and share any photos or stories about your walks using #WalkTheWorldSO on social media!
