Day 73

After another 418.50 km walked today, we have now reached the city of Escárcega, Mexico in southern Mexico. Escárcega saw a lot of growth in the 20th century thanks to roads and railway development, and was named after Francisco Escárcega, a native of the region who oversaw much of the railway construction in southeast Mexico.

Be sure to record your walking times today, and share any photos or stories about your walks using #WalkTheWorldSO on social media!
